  2.                 OS/2 1.3 and 2.0 driver for Canon BJ-Series Printers

  4.     The Canon BJ-Series Printer Driver for OS/2 PM supports the following
  5. Canon printers:

  7.      Canon BJ-200       Black printing
  8.      Canon BJ-230       Black printing
  9.      Canon BJ-300       Black printing
  10.      Canon BJ-330       Black printing
  11.      Canon BJC-600      Black or Colour (CMYK) printing
  12.      Canon BJC-800      Black or Colour (CMYK) printing
  13.  
  14.     The BJ-300 & BJ-330 are supported using the Proprinter emulation. The 
  15.     BJ-200, BJ-230, BJC-600 and BJC-800 are supported in their native mode.
  16.  
  17.     If you are installing this driver as an upgrade for an older version,
  18.     or if this is a completely new installation, you should first read
  19.     the installation notes in INSTALL.TXT (please ignore an icon for model 
  20.     XXXXXX which may appear in the driver file window during installation).

  22.     In addition, you should ensure that your printer is set up correctly 
  23.     for use with the driver.

  25.     If you received this driver in a ZIP file, or the driver disk has been
  26.     copied using DOS instead of OS/2, you must reconstruct the driver disk
  27.     BEFORE installing the driver. To do this, you should run the OS/2 command
  28.     RESETEA on the driver disk. If you do not do this, the driver will not
  29.     install correctly on your system.

  48.         1. Garbage was printed on the BJC-600 (Dip Switch 12 OFF) when using 
  49.            WordPerfect 5.2.

  51.         2. The characters 'AB' were spuriously printed when printing a plain
  52.            text file by using 'Drag-and-Drop' or the 'copy' command from an
  53.            OS/2 prompt.

  55.            A side-effect of the correction is that the final page is ejected
  56.            at completion of the job (previously the user had to use the FF 
  57.            key).

  59.         3. 'Forms Mis-match' was sometimes not reported when using the BJ-300.

  89.     on the BJ-300 and BJ-330. Only ATM fonts (supplied with OS/2) can be

  93.     2. Setting up your BJ printer for use with the driver

  99.         This driver is for the BJ-300 and BJ-330 using the Proprinter
  100.     Emulation mode. In order to use the driver with either of these
  101.     printers, you must ensure that your printer has been set to use
  102.     this emulation.

  104.     You must set the DIP switches (located at the back of the printer)
  105.     as instructed in your BJ-300/330 User's Manual so that:
  106.             Switch 1-1 and 1-2 are ON.
  107.  
  108.     If you do not do this, and your printer is set to the wrong emulation,
  109.     garbage will be produced by the driver.

  111.     BJ-200, BJ-230:

  113.  
  114.         This driver supports the BJ-200 and BJ-230 in their 'native' (BJ-10)
  115.     control mode. You must check that the printer DIP switches are set
  116.     correctly before printing using the driver.

  118.     You must set the DIP switches (as described in your user's manual) so that
  119.     Switch 12 is up (off).
  120.  
  121.     To ensure that the horizontal print position is correct, you should also
  122.     set Switch 1 as required for the paper size you are using.

  128.         This driver supports the BJC-600 in its native mode. Before printing
  129.     using this driver you must set the printer into its LQ 2550 Emulation.
  130.     You should check that the printer DIP switches are set correctly before
  131.     printing using the driver.

  133.     You must set the DIP switches as instructed in your BJC-600 User's Manual
  134.     so that: Switch 12 is up (ON).

  136.     To ensure that the horizontal print position is correct, you should also
  137.     set the other DIP switches as required for the paper size you are using.
